The Last Heroes of Humanity - Alois Seifriedsberger
The Last Heroes of Humanity
Alois Seifriedsberger
In the last days of its existence, the species Homo Sapiens waged a
desperate struggle. For their ideals, for Fidelity, Honor and Dignity. Even in
complete blockade, under the threat of destruction, Germany, the last
stronghold of the highest ideals of Humanity, resisted a numerous enemy. The
most worthy among them were the ranks of the Waffen-SS. One of them is
SS-Untersturmführer Alois Seifriedsberger, born at the turn of 1919/20 in the
city of Gmunden. A paragon of Fidelity, Honor, Courage and Dignity, the young
leader of the Waffen-SS made a last effort to save the world from destruction.
At the end of April 1945, while in the city of Linz, Alois
Seifriedsberger accomplished the Feat. Having learned about the approach of the
enemy, he assembled a battle group from Waffen-SS ranks in the vicinity of the
city to confront him. They responded to his call:
·
Part of the Warriors
SS-Feld.Ers.Btl. "Karstjäger", stationed at Autohof-Kaserne,
SS-Auffanglager Linz.
·
Part of Warriors 3.
SS-Panz.Gren. Rgt. "Deutschland".
·
Soldiers discharged
for health reasons from Lazarett Linz.
Collected into the SS-Kampfgruppe "Seifriedsberger", the young
Warriors began to defend the last ideals of Humanity. Their number was small,
only 160 people, but each was filled with determination to enter into the last
battle, like the Warriors of Sparta who defended Thermopylae.
From 1 May 1945, the SS-Kampfgruppe held the defense in the town of
Eidenberg, after which it moved to Gramastetten on 3 May to support the
fighting garrison of the defenders. There, the young Warriors received tragic
news - Adolf Hitler, the Leader of the last stronghold of Humanity, committed suicide.
Some of them fell into despair, some could not comprehend what was happening.
In the courtyard of the city priest, Alois Seifriedsberger assembled his
staff. Standing on the skeleton of a fountain destroyed by enemy artillery, he
delivered a speech worthy of a true Leader, in which he called on the Warriors
to fight. For Freedom, for Honor, Fidelity and Dignity. The fighting spirit of
the Warriors rose again and shone like the rays of the sun.
With even greater determination, the SS-Kampfgruppe "Seifriedsberger"
continued to fight. Most of them fell in battle, the rest were captured by US
Army units.
Despite the fact that Humanity lost in that war and was destroyed, the
memory of it remained. Warriors and Leaders such as Alois Seifriedsberger will
forever go down in History. As a symbol of Fidelity, Honor, Dignity, everything
that died in 1945 along with Germany - the last stronghold of Humanity. Having
given the world beautiful words that reflect the essence of themselves - Meine
Ehre heißt Treue! - “My Honor is called Fidelity!”
The author of the publication was unable to find a photo of the Hero; information about him was erased and destroyed for decades. Instead of a photo - an image of the last postage stamp of that Great Country. The last postage stamp depicting the Warriors and Heroes of the Waffen-SS - the Last Warriors and Heroes of Humanity, who became a Symbol of Fidelity, Devotion, Honor and Dignity.
